The Joel McGlothlin Quartet brings a night of hard-swinging jazz to Floyd. Through improvisation and musical interaction, the group adds its own modern, high-energy twist to classic material from artists such as Miles Davis, Sonny Rollins, and Thelonious Monk. For the performance at Dogtown, Joel McGlothlin (guitar, vocals) and Bobby Gramacy (bass) are joined by Roanoke music-scene staple Ryan Ratliff (saxophone) and drummer Matt Shay (CopyCat Syndrome).
